Tropes: single parent (H is raising his niece), small town, he falls first, second chance, friends to lovers, neighbors, marriage of convenience
4.5 stars
After the death of her step-grandmother, Shay finds out she is to inherit her her tulip farm, but there are two conditions. One, she must move back to Friendship, Rhode Island, and two, she has to be married within the year. Which would've been fine, if she hadn't just been left at the alter by her fiancé. Noah Barden had been the shy and awkward high school student with a secret crush on the beautiful and popular girl. Years later, Noah is focused on his farm and raising his niece, his old crush the furthest thing from his mind. But when Shay shows back up in town after all these years, Noah can't help but come to her rescue.
This book was so fucking cute. Oh my god. A big strong farmer who has been obsessed with our heroine since high school?? Sign me tf up. I LOVED Noah's character. He was just the sweetest thing and had such a big heart. He loves and cares so much for his niece. I was obsessed with him being the shy guy in high school and Shay being the popular girl. Usually it's the other way around so it was really fun to see it this way. I loved how much this man was a simp for Shay. Any little compliment she would make and he was blushing. IT WAS SO WHOLESOME. There was so much chemistry between Shay and Noah and I was biting my nails waiting for them to get together. Gennie, Noah's niece, was so cute and so funny. They were quite the little family. Such a great read!
