The Silent Child by Loretta Lost
5.0

I got excited when I knew that the Marriage Mistake Series' next installment is out. “The silent child” by “Loretta Lost” is a riveting read, if you are curious about what it is like to raise a child who willingly wants not to talk.
Veronica is a single mother who is digging the past to know the reason why her only daughter Kayla stop talking. On this journey, many layers opened, and many old relationships rejuvenate. I will not talk more about the story as it will be a spoiler.
The plot is so intriguing, there is a tension, unease, and romance while reading a plot that keeps me on the absolute edge of my seat as I explored the depths of depravity that can occur when the weakest minds of human society are placed in the care of those who have dark hearts. I got surprised by reading what wrongdoings can people do in the name of religion. I admire how tactfully Loretta blends the present Covid situation with the story.
Overall, this is an enthralling read and recommended to all.
