Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke
2.0
This book as a whole (the plot and characters and writing) was "fine" but I had a few complaints. First, there was a lot of excessive details about every person, every room, every route taken to every place visited. It felt a lot like hearing the story from a grandmother who wanted to work in all of the town's gossip in her narrative. I think that style might appeal to some people, I just am not those people. My bigger complaint, though, was that the narration was kind of judgmental. Characters were mocked and criticized for their weight, their interests, and their livelihoods not just by other characters but by the third person narrator. That did not sit well with me.
