My first Fitzgerald book.
First of all, let me say I just LOVE Fitzgerald's writing! So descriptive it keeps you reading.
The characters drove me nuts, I'm sure as Mr. Fitzgerald intended. They were all so pretentious, boring and haughty I wanted to smack the lot of them! Did anyone besides Nick have morals?
Having never heard much about this story nor seeing the movie, everything was new and fresh to me and I was hoping for a different ending. Daisy was less likable as the story progressed, and I was actually hoping they weren't together as it neared the end. And I was kinda hoping someone would kick Tom's ass.
But the writing style of F. Scott, wow! I'm off to read his other books.
