Uzumaki by Junji Ito

3.5

Truly the master of body horror. I'd read bits and pieces of this before, but never the whole thing in order.

The plot does go off the rails a bit. It's one of those where the events keep becoming more and more absurd, and then it just ends. But the art kept me captivated. So many times I turned a page went Ah!! because there was something terrible on the other side. It's something about the eyes. And the ideas Ito came up with, jeez. I need a break before I pick up more of his work.
