So it took me like half the book to get fully into the book. It dragged and I wasn't feeling it and it took me a month to finish.
With all the characters being apart and having so many POV's and there just being a lot of walking and travelling and thinking about the others and I just wanted some more action. I feel like the story didn't develop as much as book one did. I still have so many questions and I hope answers are coming in bloodwitch.
Safi had a really interesting story line with her teaming up with Empress of Marstok, Vaness cause they were captured by the Hell-Bards together. I liked how they really developed a friendship and no girl hate which is just awesome to see in the book. I liked the way we got to know more about the Hell-Bards as well and I think they will be really good in further books.
Iseult and Aeduan were my favourite part of this book. Their relationship is developing in such a good way and it's a slow burn for sure and I just need more!
Merrick was the story line I was kind of bored with. He didn't really do anything expect sneak from one spot to the next. Like I was intrigued by a lot of what was going on and not getting to know why but the action was just not there. I liked the parts with his sister though.
So I was a bit disappointed with this book but I still want to read the next one and find out more.
