Jo's Boys, and How They Turned Out by Louisa May Alcott

4.0

There are things I liked and things I didn't. Rating this book is really just rating the ending to the stories I already knew. I liked Dan's story but I was pretty upset with Stuffy's and some of the others. However, it is important to take off the 2021 glasses when reading these books. While she did treat her only obese character as a gluttonous monster with no purpose but comedy, she did treat Dan like a person. I loved the commentary and the womens rights movements and educational reform and other little tidbits.
