It was alright.

I'm not a major fan of fiction that makes me aware that it's purely fiction. The back description of the book was a little misleading with 85-95% of it just being about a ditsy, summer romance. Plus, if the romance was going to take up that much time, I feel like there could have been a slower burn or more creative ways of getting the two characters together. They just seemed to fall for each other instantly after first meet which I'm never really a fan of love at first sight stories.

This whole story felt like fiction land where every part of the story just falls right into your lap. Like right place right time and everything magically works out perfectly despite realistically how the criminal justice system works.

Overall, I did enjoy it a little, but overall, I don't like stories that just kinda work themselves out so smoothly and fictionally even if it is fiction (genre) if that makes sense.
