this was such a unique book i really liked it. the chapters were like two pages long, and although the book was super long, it was a relatively quick read because of that. it’s the first WW2 book i’ve read that doesn’t focus on a jewish character.

i loved the way the last 200 pages connected all the stories that she had introduced in the beginning
