The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba
by Chanel Cleeton
Really was interested in the time period and setting of this historical fiction—Cuban war for independence/Spanish-American war/journalism at the time, but as a novel I think was just okay. The writing or just the way the story was told felt stilted and the characters' motivations or the points/themes were repeated A LOT. The plotlines really followed the actual history, which made it feel accurate but maybe not that surprising?
