The Brightest Night by Jennifer L. Armentrout

4.0

JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT YOU CANNOT END A BOOK LIKE THAT AND THEN IGNORE THE SERIES AND WRITE SEVERAL BAD FANTASY NOVELS IN THE FOLLOWING YEARS AND NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE NEXT BOOK IN THIS SERIES.

Distraught feelings aside, I 100000000% understand why book 4 hasn't happened. I didn't realize The Brightest Night came out in October of 2020, and given the content of this book and what The Fevered Winter is centered around, it's not necessarily something that would sell well in a world dealing with an actual flu-like pandemic. Still, a girl can hope that JLA will return to this series. Because it really is the best of her YA catalog so far.
