Zlata's Diary: A Child's Life in Wartime Sarajevo: Revised Edition by Zlata Filipović

3.0

I don't remember specifics. I read this book in middle school, after we read The Diary of Anne Frank, and I remember feeling slightly more connected to it since I could more clearly remember the conflict in Yugoslavia (but of course, only barely) or at least seeing it on the news. I read a lot of young adult novels about wartime and conflict when I was in middle school.
