As was in the first book the authors world buildings is top notch. But while the first book made me change my feelings about
spiders
, this book actually made me actively dislike
octopuses
. I just didn’t connect with these characters. I think that the author still did an amazing job, and idk that we were supposed to connect more, just in the nature of the story, but yes. A solid sci-fi
