Lethal Passage: The Story of a Gun by Erik Larson
informative
reflective
medium-paced
3.5
When rating nonfiction novels such as this one I struggle to determine how to rate them. I give Lethal Passage 3.5 ⭐️s. Published in the early 90s, as you might imagine some of this information is outdated - hence the rating.
It is an interesting read on guns and how our government is holding federal regulations to some sellers, but not all. Larson uses Nicholas’s crime in 1988 to figure out how and why the gun regulations US had failed. Larson researched the passage of a gun from manufacturers to dealers to gun enthusiasts/buffs to NRA and other propagandists.
I think Larson did a good job in presenting facts and keeping it as unbiased as he could giving his concerns with regulating the sales and distributions of guns in America.
