I'm starting to regain my faith in YA Fantasy as a genre. This was a really enjoyable, interesting, solid story. Seraphina grounds the story with her keen wit and her ability to be honest with herself--if not always with the people around her. Good pacing, a decent twist at the end, some fresh ideas, and a few really special characters make this a fun, satisfying read. I hope there's another one!
