Smoke & Mirrors is the second book in Skye Jordan‘s new Forged in Fire series which heavily focuses on a group of firefighters in a small town.
This story is about Logan and Isabel.
Isable has left the town over a decade ago because of her homelife and a betrayal she can‘t get over. When her life doesn‘t turn out as expected she returns to her hometown to start fresh. What she didn‘t expect was her past to follow her.
Logan has always had trouble trusting women thanks to his mother and ex-girlfriends. So he put himself on a women break until Isabel turns up again.
I really enjoyed their story. It was filled with humor, steam and emotions. It was easy to read and I had to read it in one go. The small town feel in this book was strong! I also enjoyed seeing lot‘s of the couple in the first book and am already excited to see who‘s the next couple.
