I really enjoyed this story. I felt like it took me awhile to become engrossed as it was a bit slow for me at first. The plot is quite interesting. This story revolves around Bone Criers all of whom are women that must kill their soulmates in order to help the dead ferry to paradise or a hell of sorts. I can’t wait for the next book in this duology. Owlcrate sent this book and it was a great choice! You’ll get drawn into Alisses and Sabine’s loyalty and friendship. The differences in their personalities, but how fiercely they love each other is expressed vividly.
