The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life: Before 8AM by Hal Elrod

3.0

Without having actually done a Miracle Morning, I give you this review: this is one long, mildly rambling, and mostly repetitive motivational speech. I’m sure “Yo Pal Hal”’s tactic works, but really, this is a single sheet kinda deal.

Spoilers? Here’s the book in a nutshell: wake up 1-2 hours earlier, and spend time meditating, saying affirmations, visualizing, exercising, reading, and journaling. He recommends 5 minutes for those first three and the journaling, and 20 minutes each of exercising and reading.

There’s not much ground breaking in here. But it was short and peppy, and also once you got through all that pep, also gave you a very straightforward structure. The best self-improvement book I’ve read? Not by a long shot. But good enough I’ll give Miracle Mornings a shot. If I become hooked, I pledge to come back and give Hal five stars.
