I enjoyed this book. Although it was very confusing throughout the whole read. 

It is not fully gothic. It starts gothic at first and it fazes out becoming full on fantasy by the third part. So, romantasy. Idk why I thought the mmc was a gargoyle. He is not. 

So it starts gothic and mysterious. And all the confusing stuff make sense in the end. But by the end it felt like a completely different book. The back and forth between the fmc lives felt like completely different stories. And the last one/ being her first og life changed the tone and entire genre of the book…. It went from gothic to fantasy…. And idk how i feel about

The spice: was a little confusing too. A little rapey in the beginning and then hot by the end. Not for everyone tho. There was monster rough sex, and tail fucking. 

Good fight scenes in Sela’s flashbacks, but not a satisfying final battle

Overall, good read. Not what I had in mind to read this summer. It had it’s parts that got through me…

specially, Lydia’s death. It affected me more than I expected

but overall, a good read. What kept me hooked on honestly, was the numerous plot holes and secrets and my desire to understand what the fuck was happening. In the end all my predictions were correct, y el desenlace was ok, i guess.
