This was really good! Many people think that it wasn't as good as the first one and I agree, but it is still very good and deserves your attention. Volume 1 was about childhood, revolution, and family. Volume 2 is much more about coming of age and finding a place in the world. In many ways that is an uglier subject than the first volume. Volume 2 is also a little less exotic. Volume 1 is a window into Iran during the revolution, but volume 2 is largely a life in exile.
