This was so good. The kind of book that will stick with you for a long long time. I don’t read a lot of historical fiction anymore, and read even less books that take place during world war 1, but this was incredible. I think you should go in blind because knowing too much about it sort of gives things away, but if you like VE Schwabs Addie Larue, you’ll like this too. It’s atmospheric, and dark, and sad, and fully immersive.
