The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent

5.0

5/5⭐️ (IF I COULD GIVE IT 1,000, I WOULD.)

I’m utterly speechless and words can’t describe what I’m feeling after reading this sequel. This book has put me on an emotional rollercoaster and I know I will be feeling the effects of it for days.

This book will yank at your heartstrings and make you feel emotionally raw. You can physically feel the hurt, the anguish, and the heart break that Oraya and Raihn are both experiencing. After the events from TSATWON, Oraya is having to deal with so much and my heart absolutely breaks for her. She’s having to deal with the complicated feelings of grieving someone she loved, but who also lied and manipulated her, she’s having to come to terms with the betrayal from someone she let herself care for, and she needs to stay vigilant because she’s now a prisoner in the castle she grew up in.

Oraya is such a strong and admirable character. Her emotions are messy, complicated, and raw. Her healing journey is one of my favorite things about this book. And Raihn, I love him
