The Secret History by Donna Tartt

5.0

This book absolutely floored me. The story goes beyond words in many aspects, and represents one of the greatest descents into madness and true evil that I have ever read. I have never read a book about such miserable people doing such evil things that absolutely entranced me as much as this book does. I could not put this book down, despite its hefty page count and it’s occasional slow scenes. If you’re a fan of the dark academia aesthetic and of stories following mad, selfish, and evil people becoming more and more evil, I cannot emphasize enough how much this book is for you.
