With AI software become increasingly sophisticated and the ever encroaching threat to women’s rights, Annie Bot is a timely sci-fi tale that centers themes of autonomy, abuse, and the impact of fetishization. At times a tough read, once I picked the book up I could easily fly through pages at a time. The characters in the tale were fairly complex, including the Stella androids. Overall an interesting read that gives much to reflect on.
