Hollow Pike by Juno Dawson

3.0

I enjoyed this but it did very much feel like Dawson’s debut. It was very well written, with beautiful imagery and a subtly fantasy theme which didn’t push me over my fantasy tolerance. However, it felt a little impersonal and lacked the charm of Dawson’s other novels. I’m probably judging her based on raised standards with my star rating but I definitely preferred her other titles. Still, very worth a read! It sent shivers.
