Listen, I do not do surprise pregnancy, secret pregnancy, any damn pregnancy in my romance books tbh-to each their own but I don't even wanna be pregnant in real life, much less read about it in the books that I read to escape reality. So, when I tell you that it worked for me in this one, that is not something I'd easily admit! Clay and Fawn's relationship is just so all-consuming, that it only makes sense for it to happen for them.
I'm honestly a little scared that the other books in the series won't live up to their story, since I started with books 4 & 5, but I'm willing to give them a shot because Nicci's writing is just so perfect for my personal taste in mafia romance. If you love the smut and sexiness of the Mafia Mistress series by Mila Finelli and the rich storytelling of Neva Altaj's Perfectly Imperfect series, I think you'll enjoy Nicci Harris's writing style and this duet in particular. Highly recommend!!
