The Recovery Agent: A Novel by Janet Evanovich

2.0

Honestly I expected more from Evanovich. I opted to read this book as I greatly enjoy Evanovich's Fox and O'Hare series. For me, the pacing didn't allow for any building of character or chemistry. Gabriela's character was essentially Angelina Jolie's portray of tomb raider and about as charasimatic. Rafer was just annoying and irritating (and not in the way that grows on you). The attempt to tie in the supernatural didn't pay off the way the author hoped it would.

While it was a lighthearted read, it did not live up to my expectations based on her other series.
