The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey, Robert Crumb

4.0

A great tale with some interesting characters and full of classic Edward Abbey antagonistic environmental statements. The characters stood out to me the most as interesting, quirky, and most importantly nuanced. While this could have easily been a story of 4 moral individuals who protest the environment in a "respectable" manner, it made for a much more compelling read to have 4 different characters with  onsiderable nuance and questionable morals. My main complaint is that despite being an interesting story, it could have done more to string along the adventure, as pacing felt off and scenes felt loosely strung together at times.
