This book is a terribly wonderful reflection of the pressures and actions committed in a time of war. But PLEEEASE, if you are uncomfortable with war time atrocities be mindful reading this.

During the last third of the book, that characters learn of an attack on a city. That is where most of the content warnings/triggers occur. Mutilation of men, women, and children is described in terrible detail. The rest of the book is fairly tame compared to this part
