I wasn't really prepared for this as I thought it was going to be a fun, cozy small town romance. This was not that. I enjoyed it, but there is a lot of angst and drama. I also had a hard time with the audiobook specifically because there is much more on-page time for the FMC and I did not like her narrator as much as the MMC's narrator. The female narrator had a ton of vocal fry that I found grating.

Though there is no actual cheating, there are two incidents of assumed cheating. One the times, the MMC thinks it is funny. There is also not an actual rape/sexual assault but it is implied that the MMC catches a tertiary character in the act of attempting such and prevents it from happening.
