This book was not at all what I was expecting. I actually found most of this book to be quite boring. I would have much preferred to read a book for the Indie kids POV. This book to me just felt like I was missing out on something. I wanted to know more in depth what was happening with the blue light, not whether or not Mikey got the date he wanted to prom.
My biggest issue was it felt like there was no real story, we were just literally following 4 teenagers hoping that they get to graduation. Most of the books I have read by Patrick Ness I really enjoy, so I had high hopes for this book, and while the writing was amazing, the story its self was just incredibly boring.
All in all I am disappointed with how this book turned out. I still think the plot was an interesting idea, but in this instance was not done in the best way possible.
