It’s hard enough reading about the worst side of humanity in a 750-character Tweet, let alone a 700-page novel. I really enjoyed the fantasy aspect of this fantasy horror, I just wish the entirety of this book was from the women’s perspective. I also think the Kings left out important aspects of gender and sexuality that would have made this novel way more inclusive and dynamic.
