Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

2.0

I think I'm done with the shopaholic series. If this was the only book (or even just the third) I'd probably have enjoyed it more. Becky still makes me laugh and it's still compelling to find out what happens. It's just that it's starting to feel like Becky doesn't learn anything and keeps doing the same thing over and over again. So her actions that seemed sort of quirky and loveable in a flawed way in book one, are now a cause of frustration. I'm not even sure what I want out of these books anymore - do I want Becky to face the consequences or to succeed despite obstacles?
I think Sophie Kinsella is a great writer and I'll definitely be reading her other work, just probably not the next ones in this series.
