Shiver by Allie Reynolds

I'm not usually a fan of a dual timeline book - particularly when it comes to thrillers - but Reynolds did a phenomenal job of keeping tensions high in both timelines and making you want to keep going both in the present and in the past.

Everyone had secrets and everyone was totally suspicious, so all throughout you keep changing your mind about who did it then and who's doing it now. I think I would have liked a bit more with Dale and Heather in both timelines - Mila spends so little time with those two that we don't really understand them in the same way we get Brent and Curtis.

Also, once we start getting answers, it felt kind of shallow. Here's the explanation for this and this and this back to back in a classic whodunit style where it's all dialogue. I would much rather have seen it go down, but part of that is a limited perspective.

Still really well done and I'd absolutely read more by Reynolds.
