The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida

i will say that it took me a WHILE to get into this. considered dnf-ing multiple times in the first 30ish% of the book, but i am so glad i stuck with it. themes of life, death/afterlife, love, growth & sacrifice. the last bit was truly so beautifully written
overall 3.5 stars to avg how i felt about the whole book but the ending was definitely worth the beginning. a takeaway i loved from the end was the leopard saying that humans are unique among living things bc we can choose to be kind & compassionate, compared to predator/prey that have no choice & need to do what they do to survive. reminds me to live intentionally & that i have no excuse otherwise
