i just gotta say: I LOVE FUN.

this is my second ali book and i have to say i enjoyed this one a lot more than the first one i read (the love hypothesis - which was still a lot of fun i have to admit). i think elsie was a much more relatable character for me and she's the best example of a mirrorball-coded character.

i think i what i enjoyed the most was that elsie and jack's dynamic/relationship was very realistic and it was slow and built on wanting to understand each other. elsie being a chronic overthinker and the ability to jump skyscraper roof-to-roof level conclusions was so relatable i wanted to slap the shit out of her, i can't lie! bitch, wake up (me talking to myself through a mirror).

all in all, i think this was fun, quick and enjoyable! i wouldn't mind delving more into the ali hazlewood literary universe (ignoring that a lot of it might be heavily themed with r*ylo) <3
