I'm torn on this one. There were things I really liked about it and things I hated, but I guess that's bound to happen when you try to reinvent one of the greatest novels ever written. The ending twist really knocked it down from 4 stars to 3 stars.

Mason having an incestuous thing for his sister? Please.

Rochester at least proved to be interesting and likable despite his signature emo brooding. I liked the scene where he went to Adele's school. Jane herself was a good character but she didn't quite have the fire of the original. I'm happy I read it, but I don't think I need to reread it. Also, I have visions of Cassie and Mark throwing copies of this against the wall. lol
