So glad I found the time this week to read A Lancaster County Christmas. It was a inspiring story with two important messages that jumped out at me. "God never promised us a life without pain and suffering. He's promised to never leave us in the midst of that pain." and "Just because life can be hard, it doesn't mean you give up." - both quotes spoken by Mattie, the Amish woman in the story. I loved how each couple learned from the other; each taking something away from their chance meeting.
