The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen
4.0

Corey just started college far from home. The home where she had a accident. The accident that left her sitting in a wheelchair and living in a room with a buddy.
Adam lives at the same house of Corey. He injured his leg with hockey and is walking with a cast because of that.

They become friends. The only thing is that Corey feels more for Adam. She falls in love with him, while Adam has no idea. He is happy with his girlfriend, at least that is what he is thinking. But the night Corey and Adam enjoy a bottle of champagne together everything changes.

I enjoyed this story. The story of Corey and Adam was very beautiful written. Corey's past with hockey, her accident, her wheelchair and her strenght is tangible through the pages, just like her love for Adam. Adam's part of the story is like boys act. He don't see Corey for more then a friend, at least that is what he keeps telling himself and for me, he just acts like most of the boys do. They doesn't see what is in front of them.

For us girls (;p) it is obvious that he loves Corey. The way he treat her, the way he care for her, the way he challenge her, it all shows love. O boy, sometimes I wanted to scream at him, to just open his eyes. But I think, he couldn't hear me ;)

SpoilerSo when he finally sees what is just for his nose, all I could do was let out a sigh of happiness.

“I want everything. I want you to be the same with me that you were with other girls.” His gaze had the intensity of a laser. “But it's not the same with you.” My heart faltered. “Why?” “Because, Callahan.” The brown eyes came closer. “I never loved anyone the way I love you.”
