4.5

I'm having a hard time deciding how to rate this. 5 stars is too generous, but I think I liked it too much to give it 4 (it made me Feel Things and also genuinely cackle at one point), so let's call it 4.5? I guess?
Miscommunication is a major part of the plot across the board, and while I don't like that, it feels...idk, organic here? It feels like the kind of miscommunication that stems from people who love each other trying to be gentle with each other's feelings without pausing to think that maybe the other person has a right to be fully part of the conversation.
What I did like, though, were the friendships. I love their love. I loved that they are learning to keep loving each other despite all the big adult stuff they all have going on. It's hard being friends when you're an adult! Everyone is busy and tired, and nothing will ever be quite the same as when you were younger, but you love each other and you make it work.
