I found the world building impressive and detailed. I just didn't like the main character. I found Elena disagreeable. I found her constant attempts at keeping Clay at a distance annoying. And I detested her relationship with Phillip. I literally felt like I was reading an oatmeal label when they were interacting. But Clayton was all Alpha, and although he has some personality traits that are undesirable, I found myself completely giving those minor character flaws a pass. The last portion of the book was highly addictive and entertaining.
