This book is going to haunt my dreams. The suspense, the morally grey characters, the unreliable narration, the emotional turmoil this book puts you through the whole way is so epically crafted to keep you on the edge of your seat. The ending is so unsatisfying but that’s the whole point: not every story ends “happy.” It doesn’t always work out. I was shocked at every point. It hurt my soul in such a way I couldn’t put it down, like watching a house burn down. Incredible.
