Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway
3.0
3 stars
A solid YA read that examines the pain of losing someone, even after they have been found again. Robin Benway does a good job of capturing the voice of a 17 year old trapped under strict house rules who's looking for some freedom, with all of the quirks and contrariness that comes with that.
This was a solid book- however for me personally I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I would have gotten some of the chapters from Oliver's point of veiw, particularly as Oliver's name is in the title. I would still recommend this book to those that are looking for a YA that tackles the more serious issue of kidnapping without triggering or overly dark material.
