Death Beyond the Waves by Aleera Anaya Ceres

4.0

This was the perfect final book for this series. To say that it has had me in its hold for four books is an understatement. The writing is so good and the use of water themes throughout was so cute. It was a very adult Little Mermaid and I loved it.

This picks right up where the last book left off. Maisie is face to face with Odele after she saved Maisie from death. Finally they have an answer as to what happened to the princess and how to move forward.

The plot thickens further and the constant threat of death is now heightened as the marriage between Maisie and Kai is quickly approaching. Maisie has to battle with her conflicted feelings about being a royal and how to manage to keep herself intact.

Overall I loved how this ended. It was a plot twist for me because I didn’t see who the true villain was until the very end. I am so excited to start the next series featuring Odele and the mer of Iol. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good reverse harem with a solid storyline.
