A book set in the Uglies universe without Tally Youngblood in it is exactly what I never knew I needed.
I've loved Uglies and Pretties since I was a kid, but as an adult Tally's constantly shifting personality is exhausting. If you have similar feelings, you might really enjoy this book too.
While I would love to know more about society before the Mind Rain and even about the Rusties, this look into the future was really neat. You learn about a few different cities and how they're handling things after the Mind Rain.
More could have definitely been done to flesh out the characters and their relationships, but given the plot and limited scope of some of the characters I'm okay with that. I look forward to diving into the rest of the series, where I'm hoping we'll get to see everything from this book really expanded upon and given more context.
