As good as I remembered, though it was a bit jarring to read an interpretation of the myths so loyal that the misogyny in the "original" myths (cause there is no such thing as the original version of a myth, but you get my point) isn't questioned. After reading a bit more I got over it, and could see that Riordan did a great job adapting the myths for kids (adults too!) without changing any of the core themes while still keeping it entertaining and easy to read, which is a success in my opinion. It's an expertly written modern classic that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wanting to get into Greek mythology. But I think you'll hear that from most people!
Graphic: Bullying, Child abuse, Death, Death of parent, Grief, Abandonment, and Car accident
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail, Ableism, and Child death
