After hearing so many great reviews of [b:Crazy Rich Asians|16085481|Crazy Rich Asians (Crazy Rich Asians, #1)|Kevin Kwan|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1364852559s/16085481.jpg|21571970], I finally decided to read it before seeing the movie.
The best part of the book is how funny it is - especially the little asides in the footnotes. There are several interesting threads throughout the book and I found I was mostly drawn to the Rachel drama, Astrid's character, and the descriptions of extravagant houses, clothes, and events.
Now I'm excited to read the other books in the series. Kwan could have easily left this book as a cliffhanger, but I'm glad he didn't because I would have gone crazy waiting to find out what happened.
