One True Loves
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
There is something about Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing that hooks me in. About 20% of the way through the book I realized I had been completely enveloped in this world and I needed to know what was going to happen. She took me back to high school. The uncertainty and certainty of being a teenager. And then the overwhelming stress of being in this situation. The situation and synopsis I said to myself “ok, sure this is kinda interesting but cheesy” as I opened the book but as I was reading it I was shockingly invested and was STRESSED about what Emma was going to do.
TJR made this come alive in a way that was deeply unexpected. I cried. I cried MULTIPLE times reading this book, which is not something I normally do. Idk, man. Prepared to be wrecked reading this, which… you totally should. Read this.
