Mrs Middleton
by Melissa Tereze
My main issue with this book was the age of one of the protagonists, and it's not the one you'd think. Emma is canonically a thirty-something woman but the way she is written feels like a twenty something person, just trying to figure out their life. That really took me out of things. This was a decent attempt at this kind of story but honestly, it was done better in a more recent book ("Mistakes were made"), because the ages were more accurate, we see the beginning of the whole thing, and the characterization was a bit deeper and therefore more enjoyable for me.
