I so wanted to love this more than I did, it was an anticipated release for me which I don’t have many. But I think the storyline fell short for me. What I was expecting just didn’t deliver. There are multi POV’s and so many side characters with each pov that I found myself getting lost or distracted from the actual story that I thought we were supposed to be following.

I did really enjoy each of the girl’s back story and their own struggles they were experiencing but then whenever they were in the same scene I was just annoyed.

And I really enjoyed the magical realism that we got with this story, I thought it was well done, it was almost a known concept so there wasn’t any magic system building which I appreciate. Love a good witchy vibes situation!

TW!!
Lots of grief processing, I will say a TW is a teen pregnancy and maneuvering through that space of to keep or not to keep so be mindful.
